FSMTB Bylaws
The Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB) was incorporated in 2005 as a not-for-profit corporation in the State of Illinois.
The FSMTB has been granted tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service under Section 501(c)(3). Where the services provided by a private, nonprofit, voluntary credentialing organization benefit the public and are not provided primarily to promote, protect or enhance a profession or field, an organization is entitled to Section 501(c)(3) status.
Section 501(c)(3) status for charitable, educational or scientific organizations entitles the exempt organization to solicit contributions that assure the contributors of federal individual or corporate tax deductibility as charitable contributions.
