Practical Stretch Training for Massage Therapists

Training Includes:

The Science of Stretch 

2 hours

• Learn about the various types of Stretching as well as how to determine when and where to use each type (athletic vs. therapeutic)
• Look at the research behind Stretch
• Understand what is happening during Stretching and how it effects bodily systems
• Learn the difference between Flexibility, Mobility and Stability
• * Done prior to training then go over together in person

Lower & Upper Body Sequencing

12 hours 

• We will cover how to properly and effectively stretch the lower and upper extremities in a safe way using end range and nervous system as your guide
• We will use the various styles of stretching and discuss the when, how and effectiveness of each stretch as it relates to your client populations
• We will also cover how Stretch can be used as a testing tool to assess client mobility 
• This will include demonstration and hands on application
• A complete video library of a live workshop is included with your program
• You will receive a complete library of all stretches to include contraindications and directions

Successful Completion of the Stretch Training and above additions will provide you with the tools to bring a Stretch Practice to your Massage Practice and 14 CEUs with FSMTB.
