FSMTB 2022 Election Results

 

The 17th annual meeting of the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB) was held October 19-20, 2022 in Charlotte, North Carolina with 37 member boards and agencies represented. Delegates elected two positions on the FSMTB Board of Directors and three positions on the 2023 Nominating Committee.

The following members were elected by acclamation to serve a three-year term on the board of directors:
Mike Arismendez, Executive Director of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation; and 
Keith Warren, executive director of the Alabama Board of Massage Therapy.

The following members were elected by acclamation to serve a one-year term on the 2023 Nominating Committee:
Carrie Anderson, North Dakota Board of Massage Therapy; 
Karen Armstrong, Michigan, former FSMTB president; and
Charlene Russell, Mississippi, former FSMTB president.

Officers were elected at the Board of Directors meeting following the 2022 Annual Meeting of the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards. Craig Knowles, Georgia Board of Massage Therapy, was re-elected to serve as president; Sandy Anderson, Nevada State Board of Massage Therapy, was elected to serve as vice president; and Keith Warren, Alabama Board of Massage Therapy was elected to serve as treasurer. 

Sincere thanks are extended to Charlene Russell, Mississippi who completed a three-year term of service on the FSMTB Board of Directors, Caroline Guerin, Texas, who completed a one-year term; and David Cox, Maryland, who completed a two year term and this year served as past president.
