FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 19, 2015

Overland Park, Kan., June 19, 2015 – The Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (“FSMTB”) announced changes today to its board of directors. After serving since his election in 2013, Anthony (Toby) Jusevitch has stepped down from his position on the board due to professional obligations. Following the announcement, Jusevitch’s colleagues praised his dedication and passion in serving the Federation’s member boards and ability to remain a valued volunteer in the continued success and direction of the organization.

“Toby is a true asset to the Federation and will be missed at the board table,” said FSMTB president, Karen Armstrong. “We are grateful and pleased that he will be able to continue serving on the task force addressing licensure fraud and with the ongoing development of the national licensing database.”

Following Jusevitch’s departure, the Board of Directors appointed Dr. Ed Bolden, Chair of the Tennessee Massage Licensure Board, to fulfill Jusevitch’s seat until the upcoming election at the annual meeting. Dr. Bolden has been a regular contributor on FSMTB committees and task forces since his time on the Tennessee board and he looks forward to serving member boards in this new role.

“The board of directors acted swiftly to appoint a qualified candidate to ensure ongoing governance of the organization,” Armstrong said. “Dr. Bolden has an excellent track record of service to the regulatory community and we are excited he accepted the invitation to serve on the board.”

Dr. Bolden’s term will expire this October and his seat, along with three others, will be open for election at the FSMTB annual meeting.
