FSMTB Executive Director Appointed to FARB Executive Board

(Overland Park, Kan – July 31) – FSMTB Executive Director Dr. Debra Persinger has been elected to the Executive Board of the Federation of Associations of Regulatory Boards (FARB) Governing Council. Elections took place at the FARB Leadership Conference in Chicago, Illinois.

“In a climate of deregulation, all regulatory boards and agencies must work together to maintain public protection. With this new position, Debra has helped move FSMTB to a front-line position of action and influence.” said FSMTB President Dr. Ed Bolden.

The Federation of Associations of Regulatory Boards (FARB) is a not for profit, 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in 1974 to promote public protection and provide a forum for information exchange for associations of regulatory boards and their stakeholders with interests in professional regulation. The mission of FARB is to advance excellence in regulation of the professions in the interest of public protection. 

The Federation’s mission is to support its member boards in their work to ensure that the practice of massage therapy is provided to the public in a safe and effective manner.
